You will find the people here warm and receptive, as well as eager to be the extended body of Christ to the community around us. Our mission is to engage people from all over Jackson County area to unite in worship and see souls saved while telling the powerful message of love that Christ has for us. It's a love that caused Him to die on the cross for our sin; that gives hope through the power of the resurrection; that sets in motion our passion to live for Him. Whether you are new to the area or in search of a new church home, Marianna Church of God has many ministeries in place that serve the entire family and provide numerous opportunities for involvement. Our church is about connecting people to Christ and in relationships with each other. You are your family are invited to join us as we share in the life changing impact of scripture and the life changing influence of being a true follower of Jesus Christ. It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time, so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. Let's talk about dress. We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. Some people dress up and some choose to dress down. Come the way you feel most comfortable. Worship This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We have live upbeat worship with keyboards, drums - the works, as well as intimate songs of worship. Everyone worships in their own unique way - for many, that means singing, clapping, and raising their hands, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. At Marianna, you're welcome to do what comes from the heart in praise to God. Offering Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give, but you may give whatever God lays on your heart. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. It also gives Marianna the means to reach more people for Christ in the future. The Message In every service you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life. Communion We celebrate communion together on the last Sunday of every month during the morning worship service. Anyone can participate in this time of prayer and reflection - as long as they've made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven. We invite you to come and worship with us at Marianna Church of God.
